Job Description

We seek a skilled Category Management Executive to join our team in managing key business areas and shaping a new non-residential construction category.

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, contract management, and supplier relationships within the construction sector. They should be knowledgeable about EU regulations and able to analyze market data to drive exceptional procurement services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Procurement Leadership: Lead end-to-end procurement activities, building strong relationships with suppliers and customers, while ensuring compliance with contractual and procurement regulations.
  2. Customer Insight: Develop deep customer insights and provide strategic advice to inform purchasing decisions.
  3. Contract Management: Manage frameworks, contracts, and supplier relations to achieve commercial success.
  4. Tendering and Contract Review: Deliver high-quality services from tendering to contract management and performance reviews.
  5. Financial Performance Improvement: Implement strategies to enhance financial performance and support business growth.
  6. Market Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends and risks through continuous research and competitive analysis.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure tendering and procurement processes meet EU regulations and departmental targets.
  9. Procurement Outcome Improvement: Identify opportunities and risks to improve procurement outcomes.
  10. Supplier Engagement: Maintain engagement with suppliers and customers to foster collaboration and resolve disputes.
  11. Contract Compliance: Comply with legal and operational contract requirements.
Requirements
  • Background in Construction, preferably with experience in consortium projects.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of EU procurement regulations, tendering, and contract processes.
  • Analytical and organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; full driving license desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, reporting, VBA, macros) for market research and analysis.
Salary and Benefits
