We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to join the Technical function within the Marks & Spencer Connected Security team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business intelligence and data visualization tools, with experience in Power BI administration and data manipulation.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a suite of Power BI reports and dashboards, offering a comprehensive view of performance and developing actionable insights through accurate and timely reporting.
  2. Liaise with operational teams to develop and advise on business processes to ensure accuracy and quality of data.
  3. Support the development and implementation of an integrated approach to dashboard performance reporting as part of ongoing efficiency reviews.
  4. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Power BI within the contract.
  5. Provide cover for the Technical team on other areas of the function coordinating with various essential stakeholders as required.
Requirements
  1. Experience in Power BI administration.
  2. Experience of reporting and data manipulation via Power BI, Power Query, and DAX.
  3. Knowledge and experience of using data visualization tools.
  4. Knowledge of statistical techniques to measure results and show key trends.
  5. The ability to clearly and concisely communicate in various forms, with colleagues at all levels both internally and externally, to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  6. Ability to work with, influence, and negotiate with senior employees and managers to affect change and where appropriate challenge constructively.
  7. Ability to work under pressure to challenging timelines whilst demonstrating the ability to prioritize and communicate those priorities appropriately.
  8. Highly motivated, self-starter with a personal commitment to continuous improvement of existing skills and developing others as a data champion and SME.
  9. The ability to work well as part of a wider connected team.
  10. A willingness to learn and broaden understanding of the wider contract.
  11. Flexibility, adaptability, reliability, trustworthy.
  12. Competent user of Microsoft Office 365 systems.
