Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Crime Analyst (Contract) to join our team at Mitie. As a Crime Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering reliable and actionable intelligence to drive the resource to risk model and contribute to creating a safe and secure environment for our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Proactively merge intelligence from disparate qualitative and quantitative sources and draw inferences and conclusions based on client needs.
  • Provide the highest standards of intelligence to influence key decision makers internally and externally with our law enforcement partners.
  • Work with the Senior Analyst and Police and Partnership Manager to develop an effective risk-based deployment model.
  • Support a great working environment that reflects both Mitie and Sainsbury's values.
  • Deliver results that meet the agreed 'Ways of Working' and set KPI's.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong big-data analytical ability – An expert user of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, and use of good working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Experience in writing reports.
  • Understanding of organised acquisitive crime or loss prevention within retail and distribution.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a strong team ethic.
  • Good educational background and a solid command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience of working within a demanding fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Reliable, flexible and discreet.
  • Solid organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and achieve tight deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and ability to deal with pressure professionally.

Health and Safety responsibilities

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.

Information Security

  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities.
  • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.
  • Report actual and suspected security incidents.
