Welding Operations Manager

SGS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the welding department and ensuring the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the welding department, including supervising and coordinating the work of welders and other team members.
- Ensure that all welding operations are conducted in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all welds meet the required standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of welding operations with other business functions.
- Monitor and analyze welding performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in welding technology and quality control.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding operations, with a strong background in quality control and management.
- Proven track record of improving welding performance and quality.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, including PED/PESR.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- HNC and/or formal qualification in welding technology.
- CSWIP Level 3.2 (SWI) certification.
- PCN Level 2 in Weld Inspection.
- IWE certification.
- Qualification as an International/European Welding Specialist.
