Business Development Liaison

As a key member of our team at Laing O'Rourke, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and development. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Liaison to join our in-house specialist stone contractor, Vetter UK.

Vetter has a long history of delivering high-profile projects across the UK, including Heathrow T5 and T2, Scottish Parliament, Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, Manchester Town Hall and Central Library, and Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds.

Your primary responsibility will be to actively engage and communicate with our Clients and Consultants to uncover new project opportunities and confirm their awareness of our business interests.

  • Manage new CRM database Salesforce to track and follow up on leads.
  • Develop detailed project knowledge and create outline business cases to bid and win new work.
  • Represent Vetter at external business and technical meetings to support the opportunity development process.
  • Liaise with other work-winning functions to assist with bid processes and provide reports.
  • Organise and support PR and corporate entertaining events to promote our brand and services.
  • Ensure our website is updated with current information and manage our social media messaging on LinkedIn.

Key skills required for this role include excellent communication skills, good time management and planning skills, and strong IT skills for presentations, report writing, and proposals preparation.
