Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff Nurse to join our Special Care Baby Unit in Barnstaple. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients and their families, while also leading and mentoring our nursing team.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients with complex needs, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Lead and mentor our nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent care.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our unit's policies and procedures.
- Deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong clinical skills and experience in neonatal care.
- Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate our nursing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
