Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plant Fitter - Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our busy and fast-paced Plant department based in Biggleswade.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail and experience in a similar role, with a focus on maintaining and repairing plant equipment, ensuring it is presentable and compliant for use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and repairing plant returns, including pallet trucks, concrete skips, podium steps, alloy towers, fuel bowsers, toolboxes, and lift shaft gates.
  • Maintaining plant equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and compliant with regulations.
  • Quality controlling stock and parts, monitoring fleet numbers of incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Working as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Using hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical repair within the plant hire sector.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools.
  • Holding a full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing own workload.
