Distribution and Logistics Position

We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Logistics Manager to join our client's team in Selby. The successful candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with experience in managing high-volume workloads and leading teams.

The company is a highly successful manufacturing business, with a strong focus on growth and development. As Assistant Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics plans, managing stock levels, and ensuring the efficient use of warehouse space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing a robust weekly logistics plan in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Managing the Logistics Scheduling Team
  • Customer and plant liaison to help plan the weekly requirements and ensure optimum efficiency of the site
  • Managing stock levels using IT systems and digital devices
  • Monitoring quality control and keeping warehouse capacity at optimal levels
  • Supporting implementation and development of systems to help continuous improvement throughout the logistics operation

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, with a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus a bonus package and a range of benefits, including private medical, 25 days holiday + Bank, death in service (4 x salary), and regular salary reviews.
