About the Role

Newport Pagnell Medical Centre is seeking a temporary Healthcare Assistant to support the nursing team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the lead nurse, adhering to specific practice guidelines and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed patient care programs.
  • Apply clinical skills and knowledge to carry out high-quality practice within designated clinical areas.
  • Perform tasks such as venepuncture, phlebotomy checks, new patient health checks, and preparing environments and equipment.
  • Provide valuable health promotion and education for service users, their families, and carers.
About the Candidate

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Healthcare Assistant who is eager to take on a fresh challenge. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Successful completion of the Care Certificate.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within a GP practice.
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence in all HCA duties.
  • Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
