About the Role

Newport Pagnell Medical Centre is seeking a temporary Healthcare Assistant to join our team for approximately 6 months. This part-time role will support our nursing team and provide clinical assistance in designated areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of patient care, working under the direct supervision of the lead nurse.
  • Apply clinical skills and knowledge to carry out high-quality practice in areas such as venepuncture, phlebotomy checks, new patient health checks, and preparing environments and equipment.
  • Provide valuable health promotion and education for service users, their families, and carers.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of the Care Certificate.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within a GP practice.
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence in all HCA duties.
  • Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Consistently confidential manner and a compassionate and respectful approach.
  • Ability to work independently and determine own workload priorities.
