Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Specialist to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. As an Infection Prevention and Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention and control across our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and surveillance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to infection prevention and control.
  • Monitor and report on infection rates and trends to inform quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Extensive post-registration experience in acute clinical care.
  • Proven experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
