Role Overview:

This role is responsible for assisting in the management of environmental, health, and safety legal compliance, as well as the implementation of management systems and supporting the EHS Manager with Ball Policies and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the integrated management system.
  2. Effectively communicate with Ball personnel to ensure seamless collaboration.
  3. Provide, monitor, record, and maintain all environmental files and records required by company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations and permits.
  4. Maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills necessary for satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  5. Implement best practices where applicable.
  6. Assist in the preparation of risk assessments and associated plans.
  7. Support the EHS Manager in implementing Ball Policies and Procedures.
  8. Liaise with teams to manage PPE requirements.
  9. Assist in the collation and publishing of monthly KPI data.
  10. Participate in EHS audits and inspections.

Requirements:

  1. Nebosh certificate or eagerness to complete one.
  2. Knowledge of Ball Corporation's policies, internal regulations, and technological production processes.
  3. Working knowledge of environmental regulations, legal practices, ISO requirements, and other relevant areas.
  4. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Action-oriented, works hard, full of energy, and not fearful of acting with a minimum of direction or planning.
  6. Customer focus, dedicated to meeting internal and external customers' quality expectations and requirements.
  7. Learns quickly when facing new problems and is a relentless and versatile learner.
  8. Ability to apply independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  9. Maintains an awareness and complies with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace.
