Project Engineer - Design of Facilities

AWE is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the Engineering Team in the Capital Engineering function. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects with a range of stakeholders to support our critical mission in keeping the Nation safe.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, supporting the Engineering Managers to provide facility designs, reviewing engineering requirements, and preparing draft specifications and briefs. You will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver design solutions, working closely with Senior Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

The ideal candidate will have a HNC/HND qualification or a graduate with 2+ years industry experience, with experience of supporting the delivery of cross-discipline design packages in a multi-discipline environment. You will also have experience of maintaining design information configuration control for the life of a project, and supporting Senior Engineers with the delivery of projects using structured methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Engineering Managers to provide facility designs
  2. Review engineering requirements and prepare draft specifications and briefs
  3. Develop and deliver design solutions
  4. Work closely with Senior Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects
