AWE is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our Capital Engineering function. As a key member of the Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects with a range of stakeholders to support our critical mission in keeping the Nation safe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Engineering Managers to provide facility designs, reviewing engineering requirements and preparing draft specifications and briefs.
  • Experience of supporting the delivery of cross-discipline design packages in a multi-discipline environment.
  • Experience of maintaining design information configuration control for the life of a project.
  • Experience of supporting Senior Engineers with the delivery of projects, using structured methodologies.
  • Experience developing and delivering design solutions.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND qualification or a graduate with 2+ years industry experience.
  • Experience of partnering with Engineering Managers in assessing the suitability of the facility design for the next phase of the lifecycle.
  • Supporting oversight of facility design as it develops via facilitating routine reviews.
  • Supporting in managing Design Intent and Design Information Configuration from inception through to project handover.
  • Providing functional support in identifying and implementing change, development and improvement.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Gathering data and technical information to support projects.
  • Acting as first point of contact for technical queries.
