About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Three Valleys Hospital. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our service users, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the service's facilities, buildings, and equipment to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Utilize your DIY skills to identify and rectify safety hazards and defects.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings, including decorating and minor construction work.
  • Liaise with management to report faults and defects, and coordinate with contractors as needed.
  • Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance and respond to urgent requests.
  • Support contractors on site and complete all necessary paperwork and tool checks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
