We are seeking passionate individuals to join our network of Dementia Community Champions, working to increase knowledge and understanding of dementia in South Asian communities in the Nottingham area.
About the Role
As a Dementia Community Champion, you will play a vital role in raising awareness of dementia and promoting brain health in your community. You will hold events to share dementia information, share leaflets and other resources, and speak to local people about their experience of dementia and signpost them to appropriate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Holding events to share dementia information and resources
- Sharing knowledge and expertise with community members
- Providing support and signposting to local services
Requirements
- Passionate about raising awareness of dementia and promoting brain health
- Strong local community connections and relationships
- Confident in public speaking and one-to-one interactions
- Able to adapt communication style to different audiences
