Primary PRU Teacher Job Opportunity in London

GSL Education seeks a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) at a client school in Islington, London.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to make a real difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and supporting students who require additional support due to SEMH needs.

About the Role:

As a Primary PRU Teacher, you will work closely with students to monitor and assess their progress, providing constructive feedback to help them succeed academically and personally.

  • Develop and implement tailored teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles and needs.
Key Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with significant experience working in primary education.
  2. Previous experience teaching in a PRU or with students who have SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  3. A commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in areas relevant to teaching in a PRU setting.

This role demands a deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles, and successful applicants must undergo thorough background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
