Job Description

Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join our team in a primary school in Southwark. The successful candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, providing engaging, tailored teaching to meet the diverse needs of all students, particularly those with special educational needs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum while catering to the unique learning needs of students with SEN.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning for all students.
  3. Parent Communication: Establish effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and any concerns, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
  4. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your teaching practice and knowledge of SEN.
  5. Safeguarding: Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:
  • A Teaching qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience in a UK primary school setting, particularly with SEN, is required.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable; some training will be provided.
