Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a local secondary school in Bournemouth. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment for students of Key stage 3 and 4.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies, provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges, and collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.

  • Support the overall well-being of students and contribute to a positive school ethos.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
