Job Title: Experienced Behaviour Support Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

Location: Christchurch

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in a local mainstream primary school. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access the learning and receive tailored support and provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN on a one-to-one and small group basis
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to engage learners and meet individual needs
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN or complex additional learning and behavioural needs
  • Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to adapt to diverse needs of pupils with confidence and resilience
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply
