Forecasting and Stock Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Forecasting and Stock Planner to join our Electrical category on a 12-month fixed term contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercial range plan, in-season forecasting, stock management, and brand relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to work their way up to Category Manager with strong numerical skills, a great eye for product, and a desire to work across analytical and core merchandising aspects of the role.
You will enjoy a significant breadth of responsibility for KPIs such as plans associated with the development and delivery of a commercial range, stock management, availability, brand relationships, and trading plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the stock plan and creation of line-level forecasts by week with the correct phasing.
- Supporting the Category Manager with analysis and insight to develop a range plan.
- Analyzing performance vs. the stock plan and adjusting forecasts accordingly.
- Working with the Category Manager to forecast and take action on product performance variations.
- Ownership of WSSI management and stock holding/stock health and weeks cover.
- Overseeing production planning, stock phasing, and delivery schedule management.
- Supporting the Category Manager with analysis to inform strategy and range frameworks.
We are looking for an individual with strong management and leadership skills to coach and develop a team of category assistants. You should be confident in managing a large supply base and able to deputize for the Category Manager when required.
You will also need to demonstrate a continual curiosity to interpret data and drive P&L efficiencies/reduction in the cost base versus category return.
Experience in forecasting, merchandising, and WSSI management is essential. If you are a trading-focused individual with a strong analytical mindset, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
