Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer for Electron Microscopes, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining complex electron microscopy equipment at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission electron microscopes at customer sites
  • Perform routine service and calibration work on electron microscopy equipment
  • Conduct fault finding and problem resolution on electron microscopes
  • Liaise with customers to schedule service visits and decommission equipment for site relocations
  • Work on equipment including hardware and software ranging from £200K to £3M

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience as a technician or service engineer working on SEM or TEM systems
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to spend up to 60% of working week away from home
  • UK driving license and right to work in the UK
