Horizon Care and Education - Alternative Provision Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team as an Alternative Provision Practitioner in the West Midlands region

Horizon Education Alternative Learning (HEAL) aims to support and engage young people who struggle to maintain attendance and learning in a school environment. We deliver short-term, personalized learning programs nationally - a combination of direct home tutoring and online learning for pupils from ages 5 - 19.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students.
  • Work with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or children who have struggled in a mainstream school environment.
  • Deliver 1:1 lessons that are produced in conjunction with our HEAL Teachers and Head Teacher.
  • Work 1:1 or 2:1 with children in a variety of non-school settings.
  • Support children with learning and education based on their individual needs.
  • Make a positive impact on children's lives
  • You will need to have access to a vehicle as our students are usually taught either at their own home or in a community-based setting.
