Academic Operations Coordinator

Apple Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Academic Operations Assistant in the Western Trust, Altnagelvin Hospital.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Macmillan Health & Well Being Campus & Macmillan Information & Support Service, providing administrative support and health information to individuals affected by cancer or long-term conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the Macmillan Health & Well Being Campus and Macmillan Information & Support Service, including updating and maintaining the SharePoint.
- Collate data to enable accurate reporting to support audit, governance, research, and service development.
- Assist with mentoring Trust volunteers who are supporting the Macmillan Health & Well Being Campus or Macmillan Information & Support Service.
- Use good communication skills to provide direct and indirect information to patients/families or carers and volunteers as appropriate, to support their individual needs and where necessary escalate to the appropriate professional.
- Provide cross-cover for the Macmillan Information & Support Service and assist with tasks within this service when required.
- 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) to include English Language or equivalent qualifications or higher standard of education.
- 1 year administrative/clerical experience.
- NVQ Level II Business Administration or equivalent and 1 year Administrative/Clerical experience.
- 3 years Administrative/Clerical experience.
- Knowledge of HSCC computer systems.
- Ability to use computer for typing of reports, collation of data.
- Willingness to undertake learning and development courses as appropriate to the post.
