Your Responsibilities

">

As a Consultant Obstetrician, your key responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Providing high-quality obstetric care to patients, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care">
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes">
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical services, including service improvement projects">
  • Supervising junior staff and providing educational opportunities for trainees">
  • Participating in on-call duties, including rotational shifts and out-of-hours cover">
  • Maintaining accurate records and participating in quality improvement initiatives">

About You

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A primary medical qualification (MBBS/MBChB) and MRCOG or equivalent specialist registration">
  • Full GMC registration and license to practice">
  • Experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology, including ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent experience">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses, and midwives">
  • A caring attitude to patients and commitment to delivering compassionate care">
  • Good organizational and management skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively">
  • Willingness to work flexibly across different sites within the Trust and participate in on-call duties">

Salary and Benefits

">

The salary for this role is £118,085 per annum, plus additional benefits, including contributory pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and access to employee wellbeing programs.

Location

">

This role is based at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which provides services across four sites: John Radcliffe Hospital, Horton Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and Churchill Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to work across these sites and may be required to travel between locations.
