Job Title: Special Education Support Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Special Education Support Specialist to join our team in Tower Hamlets. As a Special Education Support Specialist, you will work alongside qualified SEN professionals, Specialist Teachers, and Educational Psychologists to support students with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans and adapting materials to meet students' needs.
- Employ functional communication and behavioural strategies to facilitate the student's engagement in class activities.
- Using a composed approach to de-escalate situations, ensuring a safe environment for students.
Requirements:
- First-Class or 2:1 Psychology-related degree from a top 20 UK University.
- Experience working with children with SEND is essential.
Salary: £21,640 - £26,243 per annum (pro rata for term-time only). Paid weekly on a PAYE basis.
