Job Title: Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team at United Living Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of multiple Energy contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the effective management and delivery of multiple Energy contracts, meeting programme requirements while working in line with Company and divisional objectives.
  • Manage construction activities, including constructability input, delivery team management, resource planning, and liaison with Project Managers.
  • Ensure comprehensive Method Statements and risk assessments are in place, reviewed, and suitable for use on all sites works, and that works are carried out in line with HSE and ULE requirements.
  • Manage and supervise sub-contractors, and liaise with the procurement department to ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered to meet project programme requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain construction phase plans, inductions, toolbox talks, and manage plant, equipment, and materials to suit programme delivery.
  • Control costs, including manpower, materials, plant, and vehicles, and deal with damages and thefts.
  • Liaise with the Health & Safety Manager to improve standards through joint site inspections and reviews of site monitoring results.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of delivering multidiscipline construction projects, ideally with Gas Pipeline and/or AGI/Compressor Station experience.
  • Experience working with clients including National Gas, Cadent, NGN, SGN would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices.
  • EUSR SHEA Gas competency.
  • Supervisory Management Training.
  • CSCS Managers Card.
  • IOSH / SMSTS.
  • Willing to travel on a weekly basis.
  • Full UK driving license.
