Job Details

**Job Role:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, promoting their learning and well-being, and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Support pupils with special educational needs, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs and abilities.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering activities, promoting high standards of behaviour and responding to incidents in line with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of individual education and support plans, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Assist at lunchtime, enabling SEND pupils to eat lunch in the dining room with their peers.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos, aims, and work of our Christian School, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to share knowledge and understanding of pupils, ensuring informed decision-making on intervention and provision.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on pupil progress, attainment, and barriers to learning.
  • Participate in the school's appraisal procedures, reflecting on your own practice and developing your skills and qualifications.
