As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, promoting their learning and well-being, and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment. Key Responsibilities: * Provide learning and care support to pupils with SEN, working closely with teachers to plan and deliver activities and strategies to meet individual needs. * Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem and independence. * Adapt communication style to respond to pupils' individual needs, supporting their social, emotional, and mental health. * Assist with the development and delivery of individual education and support plans. * Contribute to delivering activities inside or outside the classroom, supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum. * Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupil progress, attainment, and barriers to learning. * Support class teachers in maintaining good order and discipline among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment. Requirements: * Must be able to build a relationship of trust with a pupil and have an understanding of a trauma-informed approach. * Must be willing to train in positive behaviour and handling techniques. * Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to provide a comprehensive support system for pupils.
