Investment Team Assistant

Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a highly skilled Investment Team Assistant to join their successful Investment team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in the launch and ongoing management of all externally managed fund propositions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the selection, combination, appointment, and monitoring of mandates awarded to external managers in a consistent and rigorous manner.
  • Evaluate investment strategies and style combinations for externally managed sub-funds to achieve agreed investment outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external managers, both appointed and prospective.
  • Regularly review the performance, attribution, exposure, and risk metrics of sub-funds/portfolios.
  • Provide commentary on the strategy, performance, attribution, and risk of sub-funds for inclusion in client reporting documentation.
  • Assist in the management of portfolios/sub-funds within investment guidelines and defined risk parameters.
  • Participate in investment team meetings and engage with research, responsible investment, and portfolio risk teams to ensure an integrated investment approach.
Requirements:
  • CFA Qualified and relevant experience in asset management, manager research, and oversight.
  • Strong understanding of asset classes and economic fundamentals.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, PowerBI, eVestment, and other portfolio management tools.
