About the Job

The HR Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of HR strategies that drive business success at Updraftplus. This is a part-time employed position, with occasional work required in our office in Newport Tramshed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, culture & wellbeing
  • Developing the organisational structure to support future growth
  • Managing Updraftplus's appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings with line managers
  • Continuously improving engagement and welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers and building leadership capability
  • Ensuring that Updraftplus's procedures comply with employment regulations
  • Monitoring various aspects of an employee's performance, such as attendance and sick leave
  • Assessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly
  • Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
  • Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
  • Developing and continuously monitoring and reviewing HR policies and processes and implementing changes where necessary
  • Providing first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers
  • Managing our HR Database
  • Developing a streamlined induction process and exit process for staff
  • Driving alignment between HR strategy and business goals
  • Nurturing a positive working environment
Salary

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
