We have an exciting opportunity for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in West Sussex. As a key member of the community assessment and treatment team, you will be responsible for providing senior medical input and undertaking urgent assessments of new or current patients in crisis.

The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to develop local mental health services, aligned with the West Sussex Care Delivery Service aims and objectives. This role offers opportunities for flexible working and the chance to support junior medical colleagues, including clinically supervising trainee doctors.

Additionally, the post holder will be committed to providing high-quality medical education to students and trainees, and will have the opportunity to pursue special interests in research, development, or medical education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior medical input to the community assessment and treatment team
  • Undertake urgent assessments of new or current patients in crisis
  • Support junior medical colleagues, including clinically supervising trainee doctors
  • Provide high-quality medical education to students and trainees
