The Arnold Clark Group is a leading automotive retailer seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Trainer to join our team. As a trusted partner in the industry, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional training and education to our apprentices.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automotive Technical Trainer to train apprentices to the highest standards at our sector-leading training centers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in an automotive technical skill and be knowledgeable about the latest technology, including electrical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver training and education in a safe and effective manner, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  2. Utilize appropriate training methods and materials to engage trainees.
  3. Assist the team leader and automotive manager in maintaining discipline and ensuring trainees comply with company policies.
  4. Compile and assess trainees' VQs, underpinning knowledge, and complete documentation.
  5. Assess trainees according to standards set by awarding bodies and the Sector Skills Council.
  6. Develop and implement VQ training and assessment processes.
  7. Ensure trainees receive training using current methods and stay up-to-date with technological developments.
  8. Provide welfare support and guidance to apprentices and employers.

Requirements

  1. A recognized qualification in Automotive Maintenance and Repair Level 3 Light Vehicle or equivalent.
  2. A proven track record with electrical diagnosis and ability to use modern automotive technology.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  5. Enthusiasm and commitment.
