Primary Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Mental Health Worker to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing a community-based primary mental health service for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Work with colleagues to offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and wellbeing of children and their families.
- Direct children and their families to the most appropriate service to meet their emotional needs.
- Offer assessments individually and jointly with primary care colleagues.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions at tier 1 and 2 to children, young people, and their families, and hold a small caseload.
- Collaborate with PMHW colleagues to deliver formal and informal training and education to all agencies involved with the emotional care of children and young people.
