Senior Respiratory Physiologist - Clinical Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Respiratory Physiologist to join our Respiratory Physiology Service at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist clinical services for the investigation and treatment of respiratory and non-respiratory disorders.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the service lead to provide a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment service, utilizing their expertise in respiratory physiology and therapeutics. You will be expected to work independently, with a high level of autonomy, and contribute to the development of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist clinical services for the investigation and treatment of respiratory and non-respiratory disorders
  • Work closely with the service lead to develop and implement new procedures and protocols
  • Contribute to the development of the service, including research and audit initiatives
  • Provide teaching and training to junior staff and students
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in clinical physiology, with a Master's degree or equivalent. You should have experience in research and audit, as well as commissioning experience. A teaching qualification is also desirable.
