Cyber Security System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security System Engineer to join our team at Porterbrook Leasing Company Limited. As a key member of our Fleet function, you will be responsible for managing the fleet cyber security strategy and associated delivery to ensure Porterbrook assets are protected and our fleet engineers are equipped with the latest guidance on emerging threats and cyber security best practice.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy for the fleet, aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular cyber security risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation and remediation.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that both new builds and existing asset systems are resilient to cyber failure/compromise.
- Engage with industry bodies on emerging cyber security guidance and stay up-to-date with the latest threats and vulnerabilities.
- Support the Digital Engineering department to ensure that asset data is appropriately secured throughout the data pipeline, on vehicle, during transmission and at rest.
- Work with the Safety, Standards & Environment team to ensure integration of cyber security standards & Procedures are integrated into the Porterbrook Management System.
- Engineering or IT related degree.
- Strong understanding of digital technology and rail related cyber security.
- Knowledge of Chief Information Security Officer responsibilities (desirable but not mandatory).
- Cyber security of rolling stock assets.
- Data security.
