Nursery Assistant Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our NHS Grampian Nurseries team as a Nursery Assistant at Little Acorns Day Nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the care and development of children from 6 months to 5 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in their daily care and learning activities
  • Interact with children at their individual levels and take forward planning and observations using the Interactive Learning Diary (ILD) system
  • Ensure children's overall needs are met through supporting both indoor and outdoor play
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to provide a high-quality care environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience of working in a nursery setting
  • Willingness to interact with children at their individual levels
  • Proactive approach to day-to-day care and development of children
  • Ability to work towards or have relevant qualifications, such as SVQ SSCYP SCQF Level 6 or NC in Childhood Practice
