Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales turnover and market share through a consumer-focused approach. Key responsibilities include maintaining a professional brand image, maximizing sales, and contributing to operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reflect a credible and professional brand image to internal and external consumers.
  • Maximize sales through selling, providing excellent service, and maintaining retail standards.
  • Contribute to operational efficiencies by adhering to store and company procedures.
  • Understand daily and weekly targets, and ensure personal awareness of additional sales avenues.
  • Keep up-to-date with competitor activities and missed opportunities.
  • Effectively leverage social media to drive business, protect, and enhance the brand image.
  • Deliver the brand strategy, ensuring the delivery of an effective local plan.
  • Plan and implement local marketing and events initiatives, aligned to retailer activity.
  • Deliver excellence in service execution, ensuring measures are in place to continually improve service levels.
  • Be an ambassador for the brand, leading the way to ensure brand values are represented and brought to life.
  • Manage refunds and complaints in line with company guidelines, informing the area manager where necessary.
  • Use digital tools to ensure knowledge is kept up-to-date.
  • Deliver a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base.
  • Develop up-to-date knowledge of products to ensure an industry-leading experience.

Operations

  • Plan to ensure the delivery of excellent standards at all times.
  • Review retail standards daily, ensuring they are maintained to the required standard.
  • Ensure deliveries, stock movements, and administration are completed within agreed company timeframes.
  • Ensure auditable processes and administration are actioned in line with company guidelines.
  • Minimize stock loss by implementing company security policies and procedures.
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment for consumers.
  • Ensure health and safety responsibilities and operational activity achieve a minimum overall grading of 'Acceptable' during audits.

Commerciality

  • Manage daily replenishment, taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • Maximize sales performance by utilizing commercial reports.
  • Plan and deliver visual merchandising layouts, ensuring they are completed to guidelines and within agreed timescales.
  • Identify stock package issues and take corrective action, informing the area manager when necessary.
  • Effectively manage promotions and discounts, ensuring they are actioned in line with company guidelines.
  • Identify trends and make suggestions to enhance product performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment.
  • Ability to drive self-development.
  • Commercial understanding and awareness of the industry.
  • Effective communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
