Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to join our brand new service in Gloucester.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a 4-bedded children's home in a rural area, supervising a staff team of 9, and ensuring high-quality care is delivered to young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, including staff supervision and administration.
  • Develop and implement plans and reports to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the home.
  • Lead and motivate the staff team, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Represent the Company professionally to outside agencies and the local community.
Requirements:
  • Committed to making a real difference to the lives of the young people in our care.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation and inspection requirements for Ofsted, as well as child protection/safeguarding procedures.
  • Recognized social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Benefits:
  • 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child
  • Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a good report, £1000 for an outstanding report
  • Non-contributory pension (9% Employer contribution) and company sick pay after 6 months probation
  • On-call payments: £10 per day Monday-Friday and £50 for Saturday and Sunday
  • Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay
