About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer Assemblies to join our team at Amphenol Corporation. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products and concepts that meet the business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop detailed technical design drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software and Microsoft software packages.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely completion and meet NPI plans.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues in the early stages of product design and development.
  • Work closely with design briefs to resolve design details or discrepancies.
  • Interface with internal and external customers during the design process.
  • Support the design and development of test rigs.
  • Ensure products meet design objectives and comply with design specifications.
  • Provide formal handover of designed products to the Manufacturing Process Engineering group.
Requirements
  • Minimum BEng level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific subject.
  • Currently or working towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status and member of a Professional Engineering Institution.
  • Minimum 3 years Design Engineering experience preferably in Automotive or Aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Experience using CREO or similar 3D CAD and product lifecycle management software.
  • Experience of design for manufacture and design for assembly.
