Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client, a manufacturing company based in the East Kent area. The successful candidate will have managed the full design lifecycle and have a degree in an Engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
Using AutoCAD Inventor to create 3D Designs
Creating Engineering drawings to meet specifications
Designing and developing testing rigs
Following quality and health and safety processes

Requirements:
Some solid experience post University working within manufacturing within a Product Design based role
Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and lean manufacturing methodologies
At least a basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems
An understanding, and ideally some experience of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
