Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client, a manufacturing company based in East Kent. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing new products on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems using AutoCAD Inventor
- Document validation and verification processes
- Create engineering drawings to meet specifications
- Work collaboratively with other teams to coordinate across departments and offer technical support
- Control the Bill of Materials
- Design and develop testing rigs
- Follow quality and health and safety processes
- Some solid experience post University working within manufacturing within a Product Design based role
- A degree in an Engineering discipline
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in designing safety or life-critical products from working within a regulated industry
- At least a basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems
- An understanding, and ideally some experience of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
