Air Export Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Air Export Operator to join our team at our air operating centre in Hounslow. As an Air Export Operator, you will be responsible for planning and managing air freight export shipments, preparing customs documentation, and communicating with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities


  • Shipment Coordination: Plan and manage air freight export shipments according to customer needs, including booking shipments and preparing necessary documentation like Airway Bills and Shippers' Export Declarations.
  • Customs Documentation: Prepare and submit customs documentation, including export declarations, export licenses, and other required paperwork to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Customer Service: Communicate with Control Towers to provide updates on shipment status, resolve any issues that arise, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking and tracing data, and ensure all quality control procedures are followed
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any shipment irregularities or issues that may occur during the transportation process.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including customs regulations and export procedures.


Requirements


  • Ideal candidate will have previous experience in air freight operations
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Export
  • Previous experience of working with cargo wise would be advantageous
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as a natural and strong communicator with the ability to problem solve and adapt
  • Avsec Qualified (Warehouse & Transport)


Working Hours

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 0900 – 1800 with one additional Saturday every 4 week. This is a temporary ongoing role.
