Job Type/Shift Patterns: Full-time, Monday to Friday, either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, totalling 37.5 working hours per week.

Job Summary:

The Senior Data Engineer will play a key role in the maintenance and development of databases, reports, and systems using various methods and software tools. The post holder will work closely with the team to provide information support to the Trust, ensuring that systems are in place to deliver accurate and complete information within agreed timescales.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously develop and refine the SQL Data Warehouse and BI solutions to meet the Trust's information requirements.
  • Utilize various local and national systems to extract core datasets and meet routine and ad hoc information needs.
  • Analyze complex data with multiple outcomes and investigate data quality issues.
  • Liaise with external software suppliers to integrate new features and updates into existing reporting systems.
  • Lead on own development projects, from inception to conclusion, including liaising with customers to introduce new systems and create new information products.
  • Support a range of automation projects within the wider team.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient in SQL Server and Tableau.
  • Must have in-depth experience with SQL and Data Warehousing.
  • Proven experience with BI solution implementation.
  • Must have used the BI Stacks (Excel, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
