Hardware Engineer

Role Purpose:

Our client are a world leader in outdoor digital signage solutions. A total service is provided both domestically and internationally from hardware development and manufacturing to customer back-end services. With their own unique software that delivers real-time performance data for every site across the entire screen network providing 24-hour insight, allowing customers to feel completely confident in the delivery of consistent, high-quality out-of-home content. The products can include technology for monitoring the environment, provide a platform for telecom and wireless infrastructure and can be used as a central point of information for city dwellers and visitors. This role focuses on the development of new products and continuous improvement of the existing product portfolio.

Responsibility is for developing electrical and electronic systems in collaboration with the business teams to deliver against plan to the meet customer’s needs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

* Electronic development of systems based on:

* Digital and micro-controller systems

* Analogue sensors and low power design

* Switching and mains voltage

* Cabling and routing of signal and power

* PCB layout and schematic capture

* Testing and qualification for CE/UKCA or other requirements

* Testing and validation for performance over life

* 2nd line manufacturing support

Experience:

* Proven capability in electrical and electronic design

* Working to project plans and project life cycle

* Validation and qualification of products for EMC and safety

* Experienced in product development and manufacturing environments

* Experience of working in a small team working to tight deadlines

* Familiar with mechanical, electrical and software systems and products

* Bachelor's degree in related technical/engineering subject degree
