Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant Position Available

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in the North West. This is a full-time role, working 5 days a week, with a salary of £90-96 per day.

Your main responsibilities will include supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour in a Key Stage 3 setting, working collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans, and providing one-to-one support and small group work to pupils who require extra assistance.

Main Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (desirable)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or UK residency
  • Previous experience of working with children, ideally in a SEN setting
  • Excellent knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references from previous employers working with children
  • Current DBS clearance or willingness to apply for a new one
