We are seeking a skilled Geography Teacher to join our team at a Secondary School located in the north of Witney. This is a part-time position, initially until the February half term, with the potential for extension.

The school aims to instil skills in students that will last beyond their time in education, with a curriculum that is purposefully ambitious to allow every individual to be challenged to reach their full potential and supported to achieve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum
  • Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and associated resources
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Compliance with the school's policies and reliable implementation of these
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in a Secondary School
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Geography Teacher
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • A relevant Geography or Humanities related degree is desirable
  • SEND experience is desirable
