About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Infrastructure Manager to lead the successful progression and completion of the Dreadnought Strategic Weapon System Training Infrastructure.

Job Description

The Project Infrastructure Manager will be embedded into the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) and work with key stakeholders to achieve operational readiness of training at the Trident Training Facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Main point of contact for major aspects of Dreadnought SW training infrastructure, coordinating with UK and US government agencies and contractors.
  • Lead on defining, costing, bounding, and managing essential training infrastructure and material tasks to deliver a training solution fit for the future.
  • Investigate current planning and status of procuring, building, and commissioning training and training support facilities and report to key stakeholders.
  • Identify, report, and mitigate risks by working with the team to create plans to succeed.
  • Act as TTF Training Point of Contact to wider communities including support to parent Mission Systems team on Dreadnought Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Training matters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and policy, project controls, life cycles, schedules, and risks.
  • Experience with submarine / maritime in-service support.
  • Experience of the Submarine Weapon Systems and related platform systems (Vanguard and/or Dreadnought). Strategic Weapon Support Systems experience is highly desirable.
Qualifications and Security Clearance

You will need to hold a Higher National Diploma, Higher National Certificate or BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in engineering or project management. You must also be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / security clearance for this role.
