Join AECOM's Water Engineering Team

We're seeking a skilled hydraulic engineer to lead and develop our Specialist Hydraulics team and contribute to our exciting portfolio of multimillion-pound UK Water Industry projects.

About the Role
  • Lead professionals in conducting hydraulic analysis and designing water/wastewater treatment plants and pipelines for a diverse range of clients.
  • Collaborate with various design discipline engineers on projects and drive critical decisions.
  • Prepare design reports detailing calculations/analysis performed and key findings.
  • Estimate and budget man-hours for design tasks.
  • Validate deliverables, including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications, as a Lead Verifier in accordance with our Quality Assurance system.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in hydraulic design within the UK Water Industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic design principles and experience collaborating with other disciplines.
  • Hydraulic design for water and wastewater treatment works using HADES and bespoke analysis.
  • Transient analysis and design of surge suppression systems.
  • Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics and clean and wastewater network modelling.
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
