Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Leidos as an Apprentice Field Service Engineer, where you will learn and perform a wide range of technical duties to ensure our aviation product range meets industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within the UK Service team to assist and become proficient in the service and support of critical infrastructure Security & Detection Systems.
  • Competently use Test Equipment (DVM, Radiation meters, and PAC tester) to perform tasks.
  • Attend internal product training to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of Security & Detection Systems within Field Service.
  • Train to perform assembly tasks and wire electrical control cabinets.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of GA drawings and Electrical documentation.
  • Work across all departments to achieve a complete understanding of the Service, Manufacturing/Engineering processes.
Requirements
  • Good communication skills to effectively interact with the department team.
  • Ability to undertake and follow instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Able to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • An interest in electronic, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
  • Good GCSE secondary school qualifications in core subjects.
  • Ability to use computers and understanding of Microsoft packages.
